The parish has entered into an agreement with RA Gray Construction to build the Welcoming Center Addition project. RA Gray has been a General Contractor in the Portland area since 1959 and has completed several projects within the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon, and throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Our start date that was originally scheduled to begin in June has been pushed back a few months. RA Gray has had challenges obtaining building permits the last few months on previously committed projects because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, and the lack of City staff in the jurisdictions they will work in. The contractor has obtained the permits and started construction this past week on the projects but given this, we will not see demolition on our project until most likely around Labor Day.
However, in order to keep the project progressing, we are working with RA Gray to begin the re-roof of our church and parish offices starting in July, as well as the fire sprinkler piping install inside the church, which will begin in August. Both the roofing and fire sprinkler install piping should be completed by the time we begin demolition for the Welcoming Center Addition in September.
In the meantime, we are very close to obtaining the building permit from the City of Gresham. The permitting should be completed within the week, according to our architects.

I am happy to announce another major step leading to construction of our Welcome Center. We have a Project Manager, David Mastroieni, and will select a General Contractor by late March. We will be directing the contractor to hire parishioners as sub contractors to complete the work, those who have skill sets and documentation as roofers, carpenters, pavers, brick layers, landscapers, plumbers, electricians and the like. We are gathering your necessary paperwork at the office leaving it for Fr. Julio or Fr. Charles in the next two weeks.
